Switzerland is famous for many things – chocolate, cheese and cuckoo clocks – but also for financial services. Meanwhile, Switzerland is the only European country with four national languages – and a fifth (English) that is commonly used in business. So, as a financial copywriting agency, we felt Zurich was a natural foothold for Copylab’s first step into continental Europe.
I’m delighted to announce that we’ve appointed James Eagle as our Business Development Director for Switzerland. James is based in Zurich, but he will have a roaming brief taking in Bern, Basel and Geneva.
We’ve already been fortunate enough to begin working with our first client in Switzerland. This is an exciting new development for our business, in a year when demand for our services from asset management companies in Europe has been growing. We’re now working with financial-services firms in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Ireland.
Planting the Copylab flag in the heart of Europe underlines our commitment to supporting our financial-services clients, wherever in the world they operate.
At a time when so much focus is on Britain’s trading relationship with our European neighbours, I’m delighted that we are playing our own small part in enabling our partners in the asset management community to achieve their own business objectives in Europe.
